There are generally no costs to birth parents in adoption.

Medical

If you don’t have health insurance, we will help you apply for any medical insurance or public benefits that may cover your medical costs during your pregnancy.  Otherwise hospital and medical expenses may be covered by your prospective adopting family.

Transportation

Your local transportation expenses related to the pregnancy and adoption can be paid or provided for you.

Living Expenses

Wisconsin law allows adoptive parents to pay for some living expenses. Your social worker will help you determine whether you qualify for such assistance.
