Do the Birth Fathers have rights?

The birth father does have every legal right to parent the child. He cannot be left out of the adoption plan.

AOW will do everything possible to reach a birth father prior to the birth of the baby. You wil be kept informed about the progress of any such attempts. Birth father contact often happens after a baby is born and that can often be stressful for adoptive parents. It is helpful to be prepared to meet with a potential birth father(s) after the baby's birth and keep transitional care as an option if the birth father's consent is questionable.
