Can I have contact with my baby while I'm in the hospital?

Yes, you are the parent and guardian of  your child until you decide you are ready to terminate your parental rights and allow your child to be legally free to be adopted by the family of your choice.  During this time you make any and all decisions regarding your child including how often you would like to see your child and under what circumstances.  Your social worker will work with you before the birth or placement so that you can create a clear plan regarding these decisions.  It is important that you always understand the your plans can and sometimes do change.  Your social worker will continually explore your choices and plans with you.
