Does Adoptions of Wisconsin conduct the Home Study?
Yes we do. If you live in the United States, and want to adopt, you will need an adoption homestudy. Many states require home studies before a child can be placed in your custody as Adoptive Parents. It is recommended that you complete a home study as one of the first steps of the adoption process.
State home study requirements vary, but generally an adoption case worker will have you submit an intake form and interview you to help him or her evaulate if you are qualified to adopt according to the guidelines of your state. Usually background checks, financial reviews, and at least one home visit are a part of this process.
